I'm using pianoteq 5 for acoustic piano more and more and it sounds too muddy through the traynor. Right now I use a nord stage classic, new retina macbook pro with mainstage 3(pianoteq, vb3, diva, omnisphere, and kontakt), and either my prophet 12 or a novation midi controlelr on top.
As this will be my first foray into them I'm looking for some advice. However, being a big lurker on these forums and somewhat unsatisfied with my tone, I am looking to upgrade to some powered monitors. For bigger gigs, I use the 2 xlr outs and the K4 becomes my monitor. For most gigs it's my monitor and everything that the audience hears. I have a tiny amp I use for coffee shop and solo things, but 90% of the time the K4 comes with me. So, for the longest time (7 years), I've been using a Traynor K4 as my only method of amplification.
